Our office is in the village, not on a service-area map

Claremont Software works out of 880 Lakeside Drive, Suite 3, in Gurnee. Gurnee is the only town on this site where we can write that sentence, and it is why this page reads differently from the others. We have watched the North Route 41 corridor turn over, we know which half of the village Woodland District 50 covers and which half belongs to Gurnee District 56, and when you want to talk through a build we can meet at your counter.

The offer is one number. A custom five-page website is $2,500 flat, with the copywriting written for you, your Google Business Profile connected, the first month of care included, and the site live within fourteen days of the day your content reaches us. You own the site, the copy, and the domain. Extra pages are $350 each and larger builds start at $5,000, both quoted in writing before anything begins.

Gurnee has a search problem the rest of Lake County does not, and it comes from how the village pays its bills. Sales tax, an amusement tax, and hotel taxes carry the budget here, so the village has spent decades turning the town name into a destination brand. Your dental practice, your transmission shop, and your lash studio now share that name with a theme park. The answer is a page that competes on the service and the corridor rather than on the word Gurnee.

What we build for Gurnee businesses

The Village of Gurnee publishes a Projects in Progress list, refreshed every month by Community Development and Economic Development staff. A new business lands on it with a name, an address, and a permit status, and nothing at all a customer can find. A custom five-page website closes that gap in roughly the time it takes for your sign to be fabricated and hung.

Ranking in Gurnee means outranking a theme park for the theme park's own town name. Local SEO covers the part you control: Google Business Profile management, citations that agree with one another, location content, and local schema, all aimed at the service you sell instead of the town name by itself.

The current project list carries five automotive entries at once, from a dealership addition to independent repair shops to a transport company. Auto repair websites get built around the search that actually happens in a Gurnee driveway: a noise, a warning light, a model year, and a thumb on a phone.

The village has an industrial half too. PurposeBuilt Brands runs its headquarters at 755 Tri-State Parkway with more than 400 employees and sales into 72 countries, and High Sierra has kept its headquarters in Gurnee since Samsonite acquired it in 2012. If you sell into buyers of that size, backend and custom development for quoting, spec sheets, and order handling earns more than another brochure page.

After launch, a care plan keeps the site current. Professional Care is $99 a month and Enterprise Care is $199 a month with staging and daily backups, both month to month with hosting included. If you want ongoing local SEO, Google Business Profile management, and call tracking bundled together, the trades growth plans start at $297 a month. Call tracking lives in those plans, not in the $2,500 build.

Who we build for in Gurnee

The village's own project tracker is the honest answer to who is opening in Gurnee. Read a few months of it and the same categories keep coming back:

  • Lash, brow, and skin studios, where the entire booking decision happens on a phone in under two minutes
  • Dental offices, counseling practices, and therapy groups, the thickest category on the current list
  • Auto repair, transmission, and dealership service departments along the two Route 41 corridors
  • Coffee shops and bakeries opening on the same roads as the national chains they compete with
  • Insurance agencies, law offices, banks, and financial advisers in the Village Center on Old Grand Avenue
  • Trades and contractors working out of the office and flex space on North and South Route 41

A build from this county, described honestly

Do Right is a water-heater services site we designed and built for the Lake County market. It is mobile first, the number sits where a thumb lands, and the structure tells Google exactly what the service is and where it runs. It is a real build. We are not going to hand you a traffic number for it, because we do not have one we can show you.

What Our Clients Say

See how other small business owners transformed their revenue with a professional website.

“I run a company in the aviation sector, and it's critical that we have no downtime since we may need to assist an airline or leasing company at any time of the day or night. Claremont Software has done an amazing job in maintaining our private cloud solutions, ensuring our uptime while also keeping our costs as low as possible. Every time we have had a question, or encountered an issue, Claremont has responded amazingly quickly, and has always solved the problem the first time around - this is fairly rare in my experience. I couldn't recommend Claremont more highly, and I'm sure we'll be working with them for years to come.”

Mark Hadding

“This has been a breath of fresh air. I have operated 6 different companies and have worked with many different website/SEO companies. Claremont has been the best overall by far. The ease of working with them, clear instructions on what my tasks are to help them perform for us, and overall performance is unmatched. I would recommend Claremont to anyone. By far the best I've worked with in a long time. However, if you are competing with any of my companies I'd prefer you don't use them because they're too good!”

T N

“I had a great experience working with Claremont Services LLC to create my website. It honestly turned out even better than I originally envisioned. Since launching, I've received so many compliments on how professional everything looks. The entire process was incredibly easy. Jamieson provided several mockups of different layouts, then worked directly with me to make sure all of my ideas were captured. Before I knew it, everything came together seamlessly — like magic. I would absolutely recommend Claremont Services LLC to anyone looking to build a professional, high-quality website.”

Gurnee pays its bills with visitor money, and your search results show it

Gurnee has not levied a municipal property tax in more than twenty consecutive years. The village funds itself instead through sales tax, a 4% amusement tax, a 1% food and beverage tax, a 6% hotel and motel tax, and a 2% resort hotel tax. Read that list again and you have the village's business model: revenue arrives when someone drives in, buys a ticket, eats a meal, and sleeps over. Every incentive points toward making the town name famous to people who do not live here.

It worked. The word Gurnee belongs to Six Flags Great America, to Gurnee Mills at 1.9 million square feet of leasable space and third largest of any mall in Illinois, and to Great Wolf Lodge. IKEA opens a 66,000 square foot small-format store at Gurnee Mills in the fall of 2026, the third IKEA in the state. None of those names are your competition for customers, and all of them are your competition for attention. A five-page site that leads with the town name and hopes will lose that fight every time. A site that leads with the service, names the corridor, and answers the question the searcher actually typed will not have to fight it at all.

The village names its commercial corridors separately, which is a gift to anyone writing local content. I-94 is the gateway strip. Grand Avenue, Route 132, is the shopping, hotel, and restaurant spine at roughly 42,000 vehicles a day. Route 21, Milwaukee Avenue, is the artery out toward the neighboring towns. Hunt Club mixes regional commerce, fast casual, and healthcare around the Grand Hunt Center. North and South Route 41 hold the industrial, office, flex, and highway commercial space. The Village Center on Old Grand Avenue is the walkable district of independent shops and professional offices, and the East Grand Gateway runs toward Waukegan through mature neighborhoods. Your customers drive one or two of those, not all eight. Write the page for the ones they drive.

Underneath the attractions is an ordinary local economy that is larger than the tourist framing suggests. In the 2022 Economic Census, health care and social assistance revenue in Gurnee village came to $332.5 million, ahead of the $287.7 million in accommodation and food services. Retail sales reached $1.40 billion. Median household income is $119,628, 76.1% of homes are owner occupied, and the median home value is $344,300, so the person calling you can usually afford the whole job rather than a patch. Population, though, has been flat to slightly down: 31,295 in 2010, 30,706 in 2020, an estimated 30,458 in 2025. New customers here come out of somebody else's share, not out of growth, and that is an argument for showing scope, process, and price on the page instead of a phone number and a promise.

How Gurnee searches

Nobody publishes credible search-volume data at the village level for Gurnee, and we will not invent one to make a page look authoritative. Geography we can read, and Gurnee's is unusually specific.

Everyone arrives by car. There is no Metra station inside the village. The nearest boarding points are Waukegan on the Union Pacific North line and Libertyville or Grayslake on the North Central Service, all outside Gurnee, and the mean commute is 27.4 minutes. The practical result is that your page gets opened at a light on Grand Avenue on a phone that is already low on patience. It has to render immediately, put the number under the thumb, and show today's hours without a tap.

Three school districts split the village, and that shapes what families search for. Woodland Community Consolidated District 50 covers the western half with four schools and 4,549 students in 2025 to 2026. Gurnee District 56 covers the eastern half through Spaulding, Prairie Trail, Viking, and River Trail. Warren Township High School District 121 sits on top of both across more than fifty square miles and eleven communities. Anyone moving here asks which district before they ask anything else. If you sell to families, pediatric dental, tutoring, youth sports, music lessons, the district question belongs on your site in plain language, because it is a real query with real volume behind it and almost nobody local answers it.

Two audiences share one town name. Visitors search for food, gas, urgent care, and a tire shop with no loyalty and no memory of where they are. Residents search for a contractor they intend to use for years. Those searches want different things. The visitor query is won on the Google Business Profile: proximity, hours, photos, and answers posted the same day. The resident query is won on the site: scope, process, price, and evidence you have done this before. Writing one page that tries to do both produces a page that does neither.

The season is real and it is visible in the tax code. Amusement tax and hotel tax revenue follow a calendar that runs from spring through fall. If your business rides that wave, your hours, your staffing page, and your profile need to be correct before Memorial Day rather than corrected in July.

Questions Gurnee owners ask us

How much does a website cost in Gurnee?
$2,500 flat for a custom five-page site, and the price is published rather than quoted. That includes the copywriting, mobile-first design, local SEO fundamentals, your Google Business Profile connected, and the first month of care. Extra pages are $350 each. Larger builds with e-commerce, booking, or custom features start at $5,000 and get quoted in writing first. Around the county you will be shown $500 template jobs and $10,000 agency proposals for the same brief; we sit in the middle deliberately, and you see the number before you commit to anything.
Do you actually know Gurnee, or is this a service-area page?
This is the one page on the site where we are writing about our own village. Our office is at 880 Lakeside Drive, Suite 3. We can tell you which corridor a Hunt Club address sits on, why the Village Center behaves differently from the I-94 strip, and which of the three school districts covers a house on Stearns School Road. For every other town on this site we are honest about the distance instead, because the word local printed on a page from four hundred miles away is worth nothing.
I run an auto shop in Gurnee. Is the five-page package enough?
For most independent shops on the Route 41 and Grand Avenue corridors, yes. Five pages covers the home page, the services you actually want more of, the shop and the people, the service area with the corridors named, and a contact page with directions that make sense to someone approaching from the interstate. What usually gets added is a page per high-value service, at $350 each, when you want to rank separately for transmission work or diagnostics rather than for auto repair as one lump. We would rather sell you the base build and add pages once you can see which searches are producing calls.
Do I own the site when it is finished?
Yes. The site, the copy we write, and the domain are in your name from the start, and they stay that way whether you keep working with us or not. After the first month of care that comes with the build, you can continue on a plan or take a clean handoff and host it wherever you like. Nothing we build depends on us continuing to be paid.
What does the monthly care plan add after launch?
Professional Care at $99 a month covers hosting, updates, security, backups, and the small content changes that pile up: new hours, a new team member, a price that moved. Enterprise Care at $199 a month adds a staging environment, daily backups, and priority response. Both are month to month. Because the site is custom coded rather than assembled from parts, it needs less rescue work in the first place, so the plan is mostly about keeping the site current rather than keeping it alive.

We work the whole county out of the Lakeside Drive office. These are the towns Gurnee businesses ask us about most:

Come by Lakeside Drive

The Projects in Progress list is public, and if you read this month's version you will find your competitors on it. Whether your name went on that list in August or your sign has been on Grand Avenue for twenty years, the next step is the same: send us what you have and we will tell you honestly whether the $2,500 build is the right spend for your business right now, or whether that money should go somewhere else first. We are a fifteen-minute drive from any address in the village, and we would rather have the conversation in person.
